Coming together, one piece at a time.
My memoir, Pieces of Me, is still a work in progress – but it’s a story I’m finally ready to tell.
What Pieces of me is all about
Pieces of Me isn’t just about chronic illness or Crohn’s disease.
It’s about pain, loss, and healing.
About faith and fear.
About holding on to the people you love – and yourself – when life pulls everything else away.
I started writing this book because I realized how many people feel isolated by their illness, or unseen by the people around them. I want this book to be a voice for anyone who’s ever felt like their life got derailed and had to find their way back.
Where I’m at in the Writing Process
I’m still in the trenches – writing, editing, and digging through some of the hardest and most beautiful moments of my life.
You’ll see bits and pieces of the journey show up on my blog under the category Behind the Book, where I share early glimpses, raw memories, and the emotional work it takes to tell a story that matters.
This book is still coming together. But every day, I’m one step closer to holding the full story in my hands and hopefully, one day, in yours too.
This Isn’t Just My Story
This book was born from my pain, but it’s being written with you in mind.
Maybe you’ve been carrying your own story silently for years.
Maybe you’ve watched someone you love suffer and felt helpless.
Maybe you’ve been through something no one else understands and you’re still trying to make sense of it.
If you’re living with chronic illness, loving someone who is, or learning to rebuild after grief, trauma, or loss, this book is for you.
I want Pieces of Me to be the kind of book I wish I’d had when I was 15 years old, lying in a hospital bed, wondering if I’d ever feel whole again, or when I went through so much grief I didn’t know which way to turn.
If you see yourself in these words, I hope you’ll keep following along as the story unfolds.
Want to know when the book is finished?
I’m not rushing the process, but I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes updates as the book comes together. If you’d like to follow along or reach out, I’d love to hear from you.
